70th Anniversary

Donald and Wilma Mitchell of Aldrich, Missouri are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary on January 15, 2019. They were married in a double wedding ceremony on January 15, 1949, along with Wilma’s sister Marjorie and the late Roy Cornell at the home of Rev. Don Foster. The couple laughingly remembers a blackout during a great ice storm and enjoying the wedding dinner by fishing light. They have 5 children, 20 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Through the years, Donald and Wilma have set an example of love, encouragement, service and support to their family, friends, church, and community. A cake and punch reception will be held in their honor on Sunday, January 13th, 2019 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Aldrich Methodist Church. No gifts please—the present of your presence is the only gift we need.
